Any undercar product will quickly have scratches and scuffs due to the location of the product and proximity to the road. We do NOT guarantee our product against theft. Cat Shields are a deterrence device that is meant to discourage theft and/or make it more difficult for thieves to steal your converter. Given the right tools, technique or time, a thief can still take your converter. However, by having a shield, you are significantly increasing your protection against theft. Similar to a car or home alarm, you are making thieves second guess themselves and consider moving onto another target. Deterrence works and we have countless customer accounts and video evidence that converter theft stopped (for those with repeated theft) or thieves looked and moved on to other vehicles.

I installed the stainless steel CatSheild cover with extensions on my 2020 Tundra TRD Pro. The parts fit perfectly. Definitley heavy but a floor jack made it really easy. My truck also had front factory skid plate installed. Just had to remove the two rear bolts and slip the CatShield cover under the skid plate. Uses the same mounting holes. Very satisfied with the fit and quality. Highly recommended!

Awesome product, fits my 2020 trd pro nicely. Had to adjust or get different screws because I have the trd skid plate but that is no biggie. Recommend!
Holes lined up, angles on bent aluminum plate match factory braces, overall very good product. Gives somewhat peace of mind spending $700 to avoid spending $5000 replacing 4 cats and O2 sensors. Word to future purchasers . Only need the $20 Avk tool … do not need the $50 tool to install the inserts. Also don’t have to lift transmission like the outdated procedure says … just us the $20 Avk tool.
My Tundra has a TRD Skid Plate, and I researched installing the Cat Shield. I was able to install the Cat Shield on my own, but if you decide to do it, you will need to unscrew the back screws from the TRD Skid Plate and slide the Cat Shield under and use the new screws provided by MillerCat.
Far surpassed the quality I was anticipating! Easy to install took me no more than 20 minutes. Gives me peace of mind knowing the toothless night walkers can’t get ti my cats! Thanks again for a great product!!

I purchased the main and the rear shield add-on. Everything arrived quickly and in excellent condition. Good instructions, all of the quality hardware was included and the solo install was straight forward (with the help of a floor jack). Excellent fitment all around!
I was a bit disappointed that the rear shields were only half the thickness of the main shield (approx. 3/32″ instead of 3/16″). Also, the rear shield install replaced the much desired flush mount bolts for button head bolts, on the 2 rear locations only.
Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase and quality/design of the shields.

Hands down the best shield….I love the flush mounted security bolts….but I only wish the instructions was better or a YouTube video on many different trucks but I managed to do it my self. Also I would like if the can make a small piece one for each side that would not allow a long sawzall blade to fit through and cuts the rear cats off I had to make my own pieces out of aluminum and drilled through the plate to bolt them down…..now I’m 100% safe
So far so good. I still have my cat converters! After installation of the shield I notice that the two rear CC were still somewhat exposed. I’m assuming that the front portion of the two are far enough forward that the thief can’t get a saw in there to cut it. I would love to hear back from someone on this.

Nothing short of a 45 caliber will stop them. I believe the Miller Cat will send them on to another vehicle that appears easier for them to steal the catalytic converters. Easy to install. Mounting holes matched up. No problems. Just hoping it works. I have two friends interested in purchasing the Miller Cats.

I had my mechanic install the Cat Shield. When he was done installing the shield he decided to get one for his pickup. He is not easily impressed – so it has to be good. Would be nice if it covered all the cats.
Tundra 2019 no way to lift transmission on 4 wheel drive install. Drilled new mount point lateral 2 inches. Ordered multiple mandrills for
Rivnut m6, ended up using closest US size.
Thoughts are all the extra effort for difficult extraction hardware only serves to increase difficulty of installation and maintenance and not to deter theft. Would enjoy seeing CAT coverage over rear mist converters.

Ordering was straight forward and the package came very quickly. Within a few days. Installation was a breeze, no issues there. Didn’t have to remove anything and made my own rivet tool. I did have a friend help to hold it while installing the bolts. Much easier this way. Only took about an hour to install. Looks great!
Actually did the installation myself. It all dropped into place and it’s snug and secure. I’m ready for out trip down the coast, no worries.

Just purchased and installed the Tundra shield this week. Looks great! A little added security considering the uptick in crime. I was a little concerned about the holes lining up but they lined up perfectly. To avoid lifting the transfer case I installed the rivet nuts using a Hifeson rivet nut tool and an allen wrench. I tightened that screw with the bit and a crescent wrench. Took about 30 minutes.
Excellent product fit my 2022 sequoia perfectly!! like the other reviews I wish it covered the back to cats better ! easy to install did it by myself with a floor jack took me a half an hour

It shipped in 3 pieces with all the necessary bolts and attachment hardware. If you do not have a nut rivet tool, you should pick one up if you plan to install this yourself. Installation itself took all of 10 minutes with a helper. I did not need to move the transfer case, I just inserted the nut rivet on that side from a different angle and was able to crimp it without difficulty. The assembled unit is a little heavy and unwieldy while you are laying on your back, so having a second set of hands to help line it up and start the bolts will make it much easier. If your truck is stock height, pulling the front up onto a pair of ramps also makes the job much easier. It looks clean and I like the fact that it provides more undercarriage protection, like an extra skid plate.
The CAT shield arrived quickly, well packaged, and with all parts and instructions. Two college students installed the CAT shield for me in less than an hour without any issues. It would be nice to have an extension or addition piece covering the rear two catalytic converters. Only regret is I did not know about it before thieves stole my catalytic converters!
Would be great if I could protect rear 2 converters, but still nice for front 2 converters
The price went up the day after I ordered it. FAST shipping and had it installed the next day for $150. Of course, this is a purchase you can’t really see, but as long as it keeps thieves away I’m good. Great price and service!

Total install time was 45 minutes and did not need to have the transmission and transfer case lifted….able to set rivet nuts with appropriate sized bolt oversized nut, flat washer and locking washer….would definitely buy if you want to protect catalytic convertors on Toyota Tundra 4X4 model
With the insane prices on replacing cats, espec on a tundra, I had to get protection. I surfed all the options and bought the Millercat. I am very happy with it. Would make theft a much bigger job. My mechanic says it is well designed and manufactured. I would definitely buy again! (And will get some for my sons’ honda and altima.)
Note to millercat, you need to design additional (add on) protection for the back end of the back cats and let me know, I will buy! I doubt thieves would try to get those back cats out since they cant get access to the front end of the back cat, but why leave cookies on the counter?

I highly recommend it, it was easy to assemble, and if you have the right tools you can just install it at home. I ended up installing it by myself with no problems.
Pretty easy install and looks great. I highly recommend this cat cage. Seen others but the beefy plates is what sold me. I had my catalytic stolen before and waited 6 weeks to get my truck back. So during the wait I ordered the Miller cat. I hope I never need it again but if I do, it’s on there!!!!
Had shield installed on my Sequoia last week at Toyota dealer, took them less than 30 minutes. They sent me photos when it was up on lift. Well designed product great fit and finish.
Well made and a perfect fit. Went together as expected. I used red lock tight on the wing portion. And torque as required, aluminum is easy to over torque. They cover the front cats completely and the front portion of the rear cats. I decded to etch the cats with my info before installing the shield to add further deterrent to any would be thief’s. For 4×4 tundra’s they recommend lifting the transmission to insert the rivet nut. I used a YouTube hack with a bolt that worked just fine and was far better than trying to loosen the transmission and lifting it. The install is easier if you lift the vehicle six to eight inches. Over all a piece of mind and a good investment in my opinion. Also so far no road noise and no heat issues. I wish they offered the option for spare hardware. And the ability to add pictures on the review, it is harder than the install.
Great product however I’m with everyone else. I wish it covered the rear Cats. Other than that it’s great quality and serves a great purpose thus far!
Nice product, thick aluminum, great security screws and easy install. Would love for y’all develop something that covers those rear catalytics all the way. Perhaps a guard for the Transfer case?
The shield arrived with no hardware, however, contacted support, hardware sent immediately. Upon receiving hardware, it was missing the nut plates. Contacted support, nut plates plates sent immediately. Finally got to install the shield. Upon trying to install M6 rivet nuts, the hole on the Tundra crossmember was too small. Had drill hole to next size to fit 12mm or 11/32. Installed rivet nut with no problems after that. Went to put the 12mm open/box end wrench on nut, did not fit, it was actually 13 mm. Instructions need updated, minor bump for those mechanically inclined. I would feel better if front nut plate had locking castle nut. May install one afterwards. Fit wise, the shield matched up perfectly to mounting locations.
But, once said, done and installed, the shield should do its job to keep the converters under the truck. Right now I hear at the dealship the converter wait is 2 months, due to all the thefts here in the greater Houston, TX area and no parts available.
Upon final shipment of hardware, $20 refund on purchase price, good customer service.
